Construction

Inaugurated in 1924 under the vision of the Verviers architect Victor Raway, the theater is adorned with a magnificent 8-meter fresco created by Joseph Gérard in 1929. This renowned Verviers sculptor and painter also undertook the interior decoration, thus bringing profound artistic depth and remarkable uniqueness.

Closure

As a result of the decline of the wool industry in Verviers and the merger of various mutual societies, the theater closed its doors. After its final performance, it fell into oblivion, walled up, and gradually faded from collective memory, remaining largely unknown to the general public for a long time.
